Enjoy this introductory class outlining the basic principles and foundational skills unique to Tai Chi. We’ll explore easy-to-learn postural awareness, breathing techniques, warm up exercises, stances, and gentle movement sequences. You will also learn ways to incorporate Tai Chi principles into your daily life to reduce stress, increase strength and balance, enhance mental clarity, regulate emotions, and boost immunity.

Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing and flat soled, flexible, non-skid shoes. Feel free to bring water to drink and a journal for notes.

Acupressure is a wonderful self-care technique that will improve your overall health, increase self-awareness, and promote relaxation. Explore simple acupressure points and massage techniques to boost immunity and relieve common symptoms such as sinus congestion, general aches and pains, low energy, and anxiety and stress. We will also practice basic breathing and self-care methods to help you stay grounded and relaxed throughout the day.

Qigong for Health and Vitality

Qigong is an ancient self-healing system that increases and balances your internal energy. Learn and experience Qigong principles and techniques to calm your nervous system, reduce stress and chronic tension, build strength and stamina, optimize your health, and elevate your mood. During this class we will explore breath, healing sounds, gentle movements and stances, visualization, meditation, and self-massage to optimize your health.

Acupressure and self-massage are powerful healing tools that enhance your health and vitality by restoring and balancing energy. In this workshop we’ll explore the foundational principles, benefits, and techniques of acupressure and self-massage. You will learn and practice a simple
and effective full body routine and specific acupressure points to boost your immune system and relieve symptoms of common ailments such as headaches, congestion, aches and pains, and stress and anxiety.

When: Sunday, March 20, 2022
