CLASS DESCRIPTION:  Foundations Yoga is perfect for novices, beginners, seasoned yogis who are resuming their practice after an illness or injury, or anyone who is simply looking for a refresher. This class will guide you through proper structural alignment and how to safely modify each pose to your body’s own unique needs. You will explore the power of your breath and learn how to link your breath with movement for greater strength and balance. You will also be introduced to basic meditation and philsophy to deepen your knowledge and practice. Foundation Yoga will provide you with the important building blocks to empower you and build confidence both on and off the mat.

No previous experience is necessary. Yoga mats are provided if you don’t have your own.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  Meditation is a wonderful way to improve the quality of your life and live more fully. This class will include basic instruction followed with restorative quiet time. This peaceful half hour will reduce your stress, improve your concentration, enhance the quality of your sleep, and bring you greater inner peace and happiness. Meditation techniques may include pranayama, different mudras, Japa, Buddhist, and Daoist meditation techniques, and guided meditation. When you come in, please enter in silence and sit quietly. Take whatever props you need to sit comfortably for a half hour. Please be mindful of entering and exiting in silence.

No previous experience is needed. Please dress comfortably.

INVESTMENT:  $60 per person per 5 week series (include 5 weeks of Meditation class before your Tai Chi Fusion class from 6:15 – 6:45 pm for an additional $20)

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercise and martial art, which dates back over 3,000+ years. Classes will focus on improving your health by integrating your body, mind, and spirit through movement, breath, and intention, visualization. By learning to control your own body’s movement, you can quiet your mind, nourish your spirit, and strengthen your body inside and out.

Each series will provide you with a dynamic, progressive skill building program outlining the principles unique to Tai Chi. You will learn basic Tai Chi postures from the Chen Form, Qi Gong exercises, meditation, and self-care tips.

SUMMER CLASS!  Tai Chi on the Beach with Jennifer on Thursdays

Public Class – All levels
WHERE:  Brick Beach 3, 440 Route 35 North, Brick, NJ
WHEN:  Thursdays, July 12 – August 23, 2018
TIME:  6:00 – 7:00 pm (please arrive 10 minutes early)
INVESTMENT:  $8 per person per class

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and practice Tai Chi and Qi Gong outdoors with fresh air, beautiful ocean views, and the relaxing rhythm of the waves. This class is open to all levels. Beginners welcome.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This is an OUTDOOR class.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and dress according to weather.
  • Bring water to drink.
  • If you’re sensitive to bugs, be sure to bring some bug spray. Please note:  when there is a West wind blowing, we may get flies/bugs on the beach.
  • Class will be cancelled for inclement weather.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  SUP Yoga – It’s Yoga. Just add water!

Experience the freedom of an outdoor classroom and gain a fresh perspective on your yoga practice in our floating studio. You will reconnect, relax, and revitalize while you immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery and sounds of nature. The gentle ebb and flow of the water provides the perfect reminder to stay present, harness the breath, align the body, and truly utilize the core.

Enjoy mindfully designed sequencing that includes Sun Salutations and variations, sitting and standing poses, meditation, and Savasana. You will also learn the basic paddling techniques needed to ensure your time on the board is safe and enjoyable.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • SUP Yoga is open to ALL Yoga and SUP levels (beginners to experienced).
  • Ages 15 and up.
  • Participants must know how to swim.
